This demo combines Plexxi’s optically connected switches built around a controller-based architecture with OpenDaylight’s software-defined controller. The presenters also highlight how they use Real Status’ Hyperglance for OpenDaylight, a network visibility and management platform, to provide a comprehensive 3D view of the network from end to end.
Plexxi’s Nils Swart (strategy and business development, Plexxi), Derick Winkworth (product management, Plexxi), and Stace Hipperson (CTO, Real Status) show how OpenDaylight’s Affinity Metadata Service can be used to translate broad application abstraction into specific network behavior, specifically:
