OSM (Open Source MANO)
OSM will be closely aligned with the evolution of ETSI NFV and will provide a regularly updated reference implementation of NFV MANO.
ETSI OSM uses established tools and methods popular with the Open Source community, under the Apache Public License2.0. The project integrates existing open source modules from Telefonica’s OpenMANO project, Canonical’s Juju Charms and Rift.io orchestrator.
ETSI OSM has been created by a group of Service Providers and Solution Vendors, which is sure to grow rapidly. Founding members include BT, Canonical, Intel, Mirantis, RIFT.io, Telefónica, Telekom Austria Group and Telenor, joined recently by Benu Networks, Brocade, Comptel Corporation, Indra, Metaswitch, RADware, Red Hat, South Korea Telecom, Sprint and xFlow Research.
