CORD (Central Office Re-architected as a Datacenter)
CORD is a reference implementation of a cloud-based service delivery platform for network operators. It is designed to provide cloud economies by leveraging infrastructure constructed from a few commodity building blocks, and cloud agility by supporting the ability to rapidly deploy and elastically scale services.
CORD is a reference implementation, and as such (1) it is built from open source software components; (2) it is a fully integrated system that is sufficiently complete to support field trials; and (3) it exercises the full breadth of capabilities it is designed to support.
