Mike Shepperd

Principal R&D Engineering Manager, Microsoft

Mike Shepperd is a Principal R&D Engineering Manager at Microsoft Research. He leads a multi-disciplinary team of engineers and designers, collaborating across Microsoft and with external partners to bridge the gap between innovative research ideas and their successful implementation.

With extensive experience inside and outside of Microsoft, Mike has contributed to numerous datacenter research projects of varying scales. Notably, he played a significant role in Project Natick, Microsoft's ambitious multi-year research initiative aimed at developing and testing commercially viable underwater datacenters.
