A Cloud Analytics Engine agent resides on end hosts, which may be either physical devices or virtual machines. The agent collects end-to-end network and application performance data, correlating it between physical and virtual layers to deliver a single, integrated view. This application-centric insight simplifies troubleshooting by providing the context needed to determine whether a problem originates from an application or the network.
The data also helps quickly identify and isolate congestion hot spots, detect micro-bursts, and clarify which physical and virtual paths are being used to migrate workloads. In short, the Cloud Analytics Engine offers critical visibility and insight into network operations, reducing costs associated with resource utilization and network downtime.
Based on Junos and available as a Junos functionality, the Cloud Analytics Engine is an open solution that supports RESTful APIs for third-party integration with any standards-based database used to process real-time network performance data. The Cloud Analytics Engine is also designed to support third-party network devices.
