Huawei CloudCampus Cloud Managed Campus Solution
Huawei Cloud Managed Campus solution leverages cloud computing technologies and its distributed architecture to provide various features including multi-tenant management, basic network management, deployment, user access, and online services, implementing end-to-end automated network management. In the northbound direction, the Agile Controller-Campus provides RESTful APIs to connect to third-party value-added applications. In the southbound direction, the Agile Controller-Campus communicates with devices through NETCONF, SSH, and HTTP 2.0/HTTPS.
Huawei Cloud Managed Campus solution supports cloud-based management that can implement physical sharing and logical isolation, and provides three user roles for management: system administrator, Managed Service Provider (MSP), and tenant. MSPs can provide network construction and maintenance services for tenants.
1 Faster Deployment and Shorter Provisioning Time
Huawei Cloud Managed Campus Solution enables remote complex WLAN planning and configuration on the cloud management platform. Only deployment by scanning the ESN is required onsite. Service provisioning time is reduced from months to just a few days.
Both indoor and outdoor network planning are supported.
Huawei’s online network planning tool has a variety of built-in network planning models that help achieve 100% Wi-Fi signal coverage and a 20% increase in signal strength.
Network planning can be implemented in five steps: environment configuration, coverage area configuration, automatic device deployment, signal simulation, and report export.
In contrast with the five to seven days required for traditional network planning, the cloud-based WLAN Planner helps complete network planning of a floor within 30 minutes, greatly improving planning efficiency.
2 Plug-and-Play Deployment with Our Mobile App, Automatic Obtaining of Template-based Configuration
Huawei’s network deployment approach minimizes or eliminates the need for traditional manual deployment using highly skilled personnel. In contrast to these traditional deployments that take a long time and are error-prone, Huawei Cloud Managed Campus solution uses a mobile app to reduce the number of on-site technical requirements, facilitating fast and accurate network deployment:
The mobile app synchronizes network planning diagrams in real time and provides online instructions for device installation.
Devices automatically register with Huawei’s cloud management platform after barcode scanning.
When powered-on, devices automatically obtain template-based pre-configuration files from the cloud management platform, implementing plug and play. All configurations are implemented once and automatically take effect on the entire network.
3 GIS-based Centralized O&M for Multiple Branches
Remote: Status of devices and online terminals in branch networks are monitored remotely in real time based on the Internet.
Centralized: One O&M engineer simultaneously maintains multiple cross-region branch networks in a centralized manner.
Geographic Information System (GIS): GIS map-based network monitoring enables quick fault location when a fault occurs on the network.
Statistical: The platform can collect statistics on the number of connected user terminals and traffic values for devices, uplink interfaces, terminals, and Service Set Identifiers (SSIDs). The statistics can be exported by time range.
Policy Control: policy control based on application, SSID, or user group; traffic rate limit, URL filtering, blacklist and whitelist.
Wireless network experience and security: WIDS/IPS, WMM, radio calibration.
4 Open SaaS Platform with a Variety of Applications
The cloud management platform is an open and operational SaaS platform. The platform offers over 100 open APIs for services such as network monitoring, authentication and accounting, and wireless locationing. By leveraging these APIs, the cloud management platform can quickly interwork with third-party application systems and provide a variety of VASs, such as authentication and accounting, network management and monitoring, asset management, and Electronic Shelf Labels (ESLs). At the same time, the AP integrates the Wi-Fi and IoT networks because of its built-in IoT card module. Based on this, Huawei provides integrated industry solutions, cutting deployment and operation costs.
