S company operates several data centers across Japan. They found a way realized by SDN filtering which can alleviate the DDoS attack they encountered. These DDoS filtering application is consisted of the following steps:
Modify the (DDoS targets’) IP DA of packets from legitimate sources by OpenFlow switches.
Leveraging Centec’s TransWarpTM Family of Ethernet Silicon, Centec’s V series OpenFlow switches provide industry leading matching and flexible editing features to fulfill the application to defense against of DDoS gracefully. The key function of this application is that the OpenFlow switch must be able to rewrite IP DA, which is only supported by Centec silicon.
