Active Resource Controller
The Active Resource Controller (ARC) is a subscriber, service and application aware SDN controller for the broadband service edge, specifically designed to enable broadband providers to rapidly create and deploy personalized services that can be dynamically controlled based on real-time telemetry data. The ARC is a software-based platform that incorporates SDN protocols for real-time control of Network Function Virtualization (NFV) infrastructure, IP flow telemetry data for network, service, subscriber and application visibility, Big Data technology for managing the vast amounts of data required for service personalization, and dynamic service profiling and control mechanisms for automatically taking action in response to changing network conditions and service utilization based on customer entitlements.
