Zoom Video Communications announced the plans to integrate its Quality of Service Subscription (QSS) services with Palo Alto Networks’ Autonomous Digital Experience Management (ADEM) and Zscaler Digital Experience (ZDX) to offer better quality monitoring, troubleshooting, and analytics for Zoom meetings and help organizations secure hybrid work during this week’s Zoomtopia event.

As hardware, Wi-Fi quality, and internet service provider network challenges continue to impact meeting quality for hybrid work, IT and unified communications as-a-service teams lack a single dashboard to monitor data quality, identify, troubleshoot, and remediate issues.

That’s why Zoom plans to integrate its QSS service with two security powerhouses’ monitoring tools for greater visibility. Zoom's QSS is an add-on plan on the platform to provide access to quality of service (QoS) event data for Zoom meetings, webinars, and calls, according to the company.

Zoom QSS and Palo Alto Networks ADEM

Palo Alto Networks added the monitoring tool ADEM to its Prisma Access 2.0 platform early last year. The vendor claims this technology automatically remediates network problems, thus helping ensure a better experience for remote workers.

"Network and UCaaS admins are responsible for the end-user application experience, but no product currently offers all the information necessary to troubleshoot, report, and improve the application experience of remote workers," Pamela Cyr, VP of technical partnerships at Palo Alto Networks, said in a statement.

The OSS and ADEM integration aim to offer a single dashboard for visibility of relevant data from endpoints, network, and Zoom meetings; identify root causes quickly, predict potential network issues; and reduce mean time to repair hardware, network, and other factors that impact the user experience, according to the security vendor.

ADEM for Zoom is slated to launch in early 2023 through Palo Alto Networks.

Zoom QSS & Zscaler ZDX

Similarly, the integration of ZDX and Zoom’s OSS targets to provide access to telemetry data for IT teams to obtain performance metrics and actionable insights; detect and troubleshoot issues, automate configurations and alert calls deviates from learned baselines for Zoom sessions.

ZDX is a monitor tool delivered as-a-service from the Zscaler cloud to provide visibility and troubleshooting for end-user performance issues, according to the cloud security vendor.

“Expanding Zscaler’s monitoring and troubleshooting capabilities with comprehensive, near real-time metrics and actionable insights can provide IT and help desk teams a holistic approach to unified communications services for hybrid working employees,” IDC Research Director Christopher Rodriguez said in a statement.
