Vertiv has introduced its Liquid Cooling Services to support the lifecycle of liquid cooled systems, enhancing availability and addressing challenges in advanced cooling systems. This offering is now available worldwide.
For over a year, Vertiv has provided these services to early adopters, refining best practices that now support a global scale of operations. This experience supports data center operators with expert guidance based on practical applications.
The rise of AI workloads has led to increased data center rack densities, with common standards reaching 30 kW and some even reaching above 120 kW. This spike necessitates effective liquid cooling solutions to sustain operational continuity.
“The increasing reliance on liquid-cooled AI servers necessitates a comprehensive approach to lifecycle management,” said Sean Graham, research director of cloud and data center at IDC. “Given the complexities inherent in these cooling ecosystems, a robust support program is not merely advisable, but a best practice to ensure both system availability and long-term operational viability.”
Vertiv’s services focus on the seamless integration of liquid cooling systems with IT equipment, offering expert installation, ongoing maintenance, and addressing potential issues related to fluid management and system cleanliness. This is critical for maintaining reliability in high-performance computing (HPC) environments.
Vertiv Liquid Cooling Services are designed specifically for AI-driven and HPC settings, featuring a range of solutions and support from certified technicians. The services include:
- Startup & Commissioning Services to address installation issues and ensure quality.
- Spare Parts Availability for faster repairs and reduced downtime.
- End-to-End Lifecycle Support for long-term reliability.
- Fluid Management Services ensuring optimal coolant quality through testing and responsible disposal.
