Versa Networks scored another victory this week after S-Net Communications added the vendor's secure access service edge (SASE) to its managed services portfolio.
S-Net is a Chicago-based service provider founded in 2006 that offers unified communications-as-a-service, contact center, SD-WAN, unified threat management, and IT services across the U.S.
The partnership builds on the two companies' existing relationship and will see S-Net offer both the vendor’s SD-WAN and SASE platforms to its multi-location enterprise customers.
In the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic, many businesses pivoted to remote and hybrid work models that dramatically expand organizations security perimeters. This led to a boom in SASE adoption and later the rise of managed SASE
“As technology is increasingly dominating every aspect of business, our multi-location enterprise clients need robust solutions to support their growing cloud-based software ecosystem and secure their networks," S-NET CEO Alex Fayn said in a statement.
In addition to supporting customers as they transition to remote and hybrid-work models, S-NET sees an opportunity to integrate Versa’s SASE into its broader business service portfolio, the company said.
S-Net isn't the only service provider that's thrown its weight behind Versa's SASE architecture. Verizon, Comcast Business, and Alcatel-Lucent Enterprise have also deployed vendor's networking and security platform.
Versa Claims Unified SASE CrownVersa is one of three vendors offering a true “unified SASE” platform, according to a Dell’Oro group analysis of networking and security vendors last month.
The report categorized the vendors into two broad groups: those offering a unified SASE product and those offering disaggregated SASE services. The goal? Provide companies looking to deploy a single vendor SASE platform with some much needed clarity, Dell’Oro analyst Mauricio Sanchez told SDxCentral.
It found that Versa, VMware, and Cato Networks were the only three vendors that offered a complete, single-vendor SASE product stack. And of these, Versa controlled 84% of the market share for unified SASE. However, Sanchez notes more companies are likely to join the unified SASE crowd in 2022 as vendors continue to integrate their networking and security product portfolios.
Looking ahead, Sanchez expects unified SASE vendors to outpace disaggregated vendors at a compound annual growth rate of 56% and 15% respectively.
