Veeam has announced an expanded partnership with Microsoft, which includes a Microsoft equity investment in Veeam. This collaboration aims to develop AI solutions that enhance data resilience for customers, focusing on protecting, recovering, and unlocking more value from data.

Seventy-seven percent of the Fortune 500 and 67% of the Global 2000 rely on Veeam to safeguard their data from cyber threats and outages. The integration of Microsoft AI into Veeam’s data resilience platform will support customers in achieving faster insights, improved threat detection, and automated recovery processes.

Veeam will direct efforts toward research and development, with support from Microsoft to advance AI-powered innovations. The integration of Microsoft AI services will enhance several key products, including:

  • Veeam Data Cloud for Microsoft 365, protecting over 23.5 million users.
  • Veeam Data Cloud Vault, offering secure backups in Microsoft Azure.
  • New Entra ID Solutions, focusing on identity security for cloud-first organizations.

The integration aims to help organizations detect suspicious activities before they escalate, identify backup vulnerabilities, automate compliance reporting, and accelerate data restores.
