Vantage Data Centers has expanded its global presence significantly in 2024, entering new markets, breaking ground on multiple campuses, and launching new facilities amid strong demand for cloud computing and artificial intelligence.

“In 2024, we built upon the previous year’s momentum to meet the demand for hyperscale capacity driven by the rapid adoption of AI and cloud technologies,” said Sureel Choksi, president and CEO. The company reported securing over $13 billion in debt and equity investments, which will support its market expansion initiatives.

The company initiated the year with a notable $6.4 billion equity investment, which increased to $9.2 billion upon closing. Alongside this, Vantage obtained substantial funding for its regional data center platforms, including a €1.4 billion investment for its EMEA platform and a £600 million asset-backed securitization in the same region.

Vantage’s ambitious growth also saw the appointment of new regional presidents across North America, EMEA, and APAC, including Dana Adams and David Howson, along with bringing on chief technology and innovation officer Emily Friedberg.

Throughout 2024, Vantage launched valuable new campuses, most notably its first in Dublin, which targets 52MW of capacity. The company broke ground on six additional campuses across key regions, including Ohio, Japan, and Zurich.

The recent uptake in market demand has expanded Vantage’s operational capabilities, elevating its global capacity to over 2.6GW through 35 campuses across 14 countries.

Reflecting on its commitment to sustainability, Vantage aims to achieve net zero carbon emissions by 2030, as highlighted in its recent ESG report. Furthermore, the company remains dedicated to community engagement, having initiated partnerships in Ohio to support local communities.
