Trellix has appointed Vishal Rao as its new CEO, succeeding Bryan Palma, who held the position since 2021. Rao also takes the helm at Skyhigh Security, focusing on expanding their global market share in the cybersecurity space.

Marc Bala, Managing Director at STG, expressed excitement over Rao's appointment, noting his strong customer focus and history of innovation. Bala remarked, “Vishal has an outstanding track record of delivering results throughout his career. His experience uniquely qualifies him to lead Trellix into the future.”

Before joining Trellix, Rao served at Skyhigh Security, where he demonstrated success in leading software companies through significant transformations, contributing to their growth and successful IPOs. With nearly 30 years in the industry, Rao has worked with leading firms, including Splunk and Cloudera.

Rao stated, “I’m honored to have the opportunity to lead the Trellix team at this critical juncture. The cyber threat landscape is rapidly evolving, and we are committed to developing innovative solutions to protect our customers.”

Palma will assist during the transition as an advisor to STG and expressed confidence in Rao's capabilities to advance Trellix's future growth.
