New York-based storage platform StorOne has unveiled ONEai, an AI-powered enterprise data storage solution.
Developed in partnership with NAND flash technology company Phison Electronics, ONEai features the firm’s aiDAPTIV+ technology integrated into the storage platform to combine storage and AI into one integrated system.
While storage platforms traditionally have to set up complex configurations with AI being a separate layer that sits on top of storage, StorOne has it built in, which the firm says helps users to accelerate deployment and provide domain-specific responses for end users.
Gal Naor, CEO of StorOne, said: “Through this technology partnership with Phison, we are filling the gap between traditional storage and AI infrastructure by delivering a turnkey, automated solution that simplifies AI data insights for organizations with limited budgets or expertise.
“We’re lowering the barrier to entry to enable enterprises of all sizes to tap into AI-driven intelligence without the requirement of building large-scale AI environments or sending data to the cloud.”
StorOne said its new storage offering can automatically recognize and respond to file creation, modification, and deletion, automatically making changes to data before feeding it into ongoing AI projects.
The storage solution is optimized for fine-tuning, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), and inferencing, meaning it can directly support core AI workflows that enterprises typically need to run separately from their storage infrastructure.
The firm claims ONEai‘s efficiency minimizes the number of GPUs required, with integrated GPU modules reducing AI inference latency.
Michael Wu, general manager and president of Phison US, said: “Through the aiDAPTIV+ integration, ONEai connects the storage engine and the AI acceleration layer, ensuring optimal data flow, intelligent workload orchestration, and highly efficient GPU utilization.
“The result is an alternative to the DIY approach for IT and infrastructure teams, who can now opt for a pre-integrated, seamless, secure, and efficient AI deployment within the enterprise infrastructure.”
StorONE plans to make ONEai generally available from Q3 2025.
