McAfee Corp. has appointed Stephanie Fried as Executive Vice President and Chief Marketing Officer, effective immediately. Fried brings extensive expertise in audience growth, digital strategy, and consumer insights from her previous role as CMO at Fandom, where she led marketing efforts across multiple brands, significantly increasing audience engagement.

In her new position, Fried will oversee global marketing and communications for McAfee’s direct-to-consumer brand. Her leadership will be focused on building connections with existing customers and attracting new audiences while reinforcing McAfee's commitment to consumer protection beyond traditional antivirus solutions.

Craig Boundy, CEO of McAfee, expressed confidence in Fried’s ability to enhance brand engagement and foster consumer trust through data-driven marketing and digital transformation strategies. He emphasized her role will be essential in making online protection accessible to a broader audience.

Fried’s career spans 20 years in marketing and analytics, with prior senior leadership roles at Condé Nast, Discovery Communications, VEVO, and NBC Universal. Her work has involved driving digital transformation and audience development across various sectors, significantly growing digital audiences.

Fried remarked on the importance of online protection, stating that McAfee is well-positioned to empower users worldwide to navigate digital spaces safely. She aims to deepen customer relationships while enhancing McAfee’s legacy through improved product experiences.

She holds a BA with honors in History from the University of Michigan and an MBA in Marketing Management from Columbia Business School.
