Snowflake has appointed Mike Gannon as Chief Revenue Officer, effective March 14, 2025. He succeeds Chris Degnan, who is retiring. In his new role, Gannon will be responsible for Snowflake’s revenue and go-to-market teams.

CEO Sridhar Ramaswamy expressed enthusiasm about Gannon's appointment, highlighting his experience in developing organizations in competitive markets and scaling operations during growth phases. Ramaswamy noted Gannon's qualifications make him well-suited to lead Snowflake as it enters a new period.

Degnan, who was Snowflake’s first salesperson, has been pivotal in the company's evolution to $3.4 billion in revenue in the last fiscal year. Ramaswamy acknowledged Degnan's leadership and contributions during his tenure and mentioned that he would assist Gannon during the transition.

Gannon comes to Snowflake from VMware by Broadcom, where he served as President of Americas Sales, focusing on integrating sales functions and enhancing operational synergy. His past roles also include leadership positions at EMC Corporation and Isilon Systems.

Gannon holds a B.A. from Oswego State University.
