The company aims to leverage artificial intelligence throughout its telecommunications systems to enhance network quality and user experience, as outlined by Charlie Zhang, Senior Vice President of Advanced Communications Research Center. Zhang emphasized the company's intensified research into AI-enabled communication technologies.

As mobile data traffic increases due to the expansion of AI and streaming services, the demand for advancements in telecommunications continues to grow. The telecommunications industry is focused on optimizing system operations while emphasizing performance, sustainability, and cost reductions, alongside innovative technological solutions.

5G-Advanced will further enhance 5G infrastructure by integrating AI, paving the way for 6G technologies. Emerging services highlighted in the white paper include immersive extended reality, digital twins, massive communication, and fixed-wireless access (FWA).

The key attributes of 6G, according to the document, include AI-native systems, sustainable network practices, ubiquitous coverage, and secure communication environments.
