Qwilt has announced a partnership with Corix aimed at enhancing content delivery capabilities across North America and Europe. The collaboration allows Corix to utilize Qwilt’s Open Edge technology to increase its network capacity by 6.2Tbps, facilitating efficient service to millions of consumers.
This initiative focuses on optimizing latency and reducing congestion, thereby improving the user experience. Qwilt’s Open Edge technology operates on over 1,000 Points of Presence, serving in excess of a billion subscribers globally, further expanding its network infrastructure.
Fabio Escorpioni, CEO of Corix, stated, “Digital content consumption is growing exponentially, and service providers require innovative solutions to scale while maintaining superior Quality of Experience.” The integration of Qwilt’s solution is positioned to enhance Corix's content delivery infrastructure.
The partnership also presents new revenue opportunities for Corix through premium caching services for content publishers, aligning the interests among service providers, creators, and end users.
Camila Neves, VP LATAM Sales at Qwilt, noted that the collaboration not only extends their network footprint but also fortifies its resilience, supporting the overall aim of expanding Qwilt’s ISP ecosystem.
Qwilt has formed partnerships with over 175 service providers and content publishers, including Comcast and Verizon, to implement Open Edge globally.
