The RSA Conference 2015 kicks off today at San Francisco's Monscone Center, with keynotes and the main program getting into gear Tuesday morning. It's going to be a whirlwind of activity, especially now that security has become a hotter topic than ever. Here are some of our top picks for speakers to catch:

RSA President Amit Yoran — appointed just six months ago — will make his debut keynote at the conference on Tuesday morning. Expect a sweeping indictment of the current disorganized state of threat intelligence (security speak for vulnerability and breach reporting) and a call for standards-setting — a topic that will dominate the week. (8:00-8:50 a.m. Tuesday, South Building, Esplanade Ballroom)

Orchestrating Software-Defined Networks (SDN) to Disrupt the APT Kill Chain: Optimizing SDN for security? This session should be a no-brainer for SDxCentral readers. Symantec Chief Architect Deb Banerjee and Enterprise Security CTO Sean Doherty will demonstrate how an SDN controller might be used to detect network compromises. (2:20-3:10 p.m. Tuesday, West Building Room 2009)

Continuous Security: 5 Ways DevOps Improves Security: "DevOps is in the enterprise and changes how security gets done," reads the blurb for this session. Dell Chief Security Architect David Mortman and Sonatype CTO Joshua Corman will give examples of how security teams have embraced DevOps approaches. If you can make it through the jargon, it should be interesting. (Two sessions Tuesday: 1:10-2 p.m. in West Building Room 3004; 4:40-5:30 p.m. in West Building Room 2020)

Juniper Security CTO Christopher Hoff's keynote will cover "what's next" for security. The official blurb is notably vague, but we've been told to expect some fun surprises. (2:40-3 p.m. Wednesday, South Building, Esplanade Ballroom)

Security Hopscotch: Security researcher Chris Roberts should have some interesting remarks to share at this session, after his detainment by the FBI last week for jokes he tweeted about hacking the communications system on the plane he took to the conference. (11:30-12:20 a.m. Thursday, West Building Room 3022)
