Nyansa added new integrations for Aruba Instant and Extreme Networks Smart OmniEdge products on its user performance management platform Voyance. This adds to a list of data sources and vendors that Voyance already supports.

Voyance now integrates and provides analytics based on WiFi data from Cisco, Aruba WLAN, Ruckus Wireless, Extreme Networks Smart OmniEdge, and Aruba Instant WLAN systems. It also integrates other data sources from additional vendors including Ascom’s voice communications systems, GE Health Services IoT devices, Cisco unified communications, Microsoft Skype for business, and others. Nyansa is also working on adding support for Citrix devices and Meraki Cloud WiFi.

Aruba Instant is a controller-less WiFi system. Users deploy access points that monitor applications and web traffic to secure and optimize their network performance.

Extreme Networks Smart OmniEdge provides a unified wired or wireless infrastructure for cloud or on premises deployment, which is managed through a single pane of glass.

Nyansa Voyance now allows enterprises running these wireless LAN services to “quantify the user network experience in real time and historically for all users and devices that connect to the network using Extreme or Aruba Instant wireless services,” said David Callisch, Nyansa VP of marketing.

According to Callisch, enterprises that are running these wireless systems don’t have granular visibility into device and user performance. Nyansa now automatically collects, analyzes, and correlates Aruba and Extreme WiFi and WLAN data with other data sources.

In addition to WiFi data, Voyance can also analyze syslog, SNMP, application, packet, wireless, client, flow, and WAN data across the entire stack. In order to monitor the network stack, customers deploy a single piece of software — that Nyansa calls Crawler — that sits in the customer’s network off of a SPAN port in the wired network. The Nyansa software scans traffic to and from that Crawler, which ingests the different data sources and compares them.

By automatically correlating this data across disparate systems, Voyance negates the need to access multiple systems to gather network behavior.

“Until now, enterprise have been handcuffed by equipment vendors who force them to use their own management and analytics solutions that only monitor their own products that serve a slice of the network,” said Callisch. To solve this problem, Nyansa is adding these different vendor systems and related data sources to Voyance.
