Liberty Global and Juniper Networks have successfully completed a joint proof-of-concept to enhance multicloud connectivity, aiming to simplify and secure user experiences across various cloud environments. The initiative is set to benefit enterprise and consumer customers by providing seamless access to distributed data and applications.
The proof-of-concept showcased Juniper Cloud Interlink, a solution designed to automate hybrid multicloud network management across public cloud, on-premises, and co-located data centers. Juniper Cloud Interlink is part of Juniper's effort to offer cost-effective and programmatically manageable connectivity, which the companies plan to further develop before commercial release.
As businesses increasingly migrate applications to different cloud services for enhanced resilience and scalability, Liberty Global recognizes the need for unified cloud solutions that can overcome the inherent complexities of multicloud architectures. The trial has addressed these challenges by ensuring consistent connectivity and maintaining strict service levels.
The proof-of-concept’s architecture allowed for rapid deployment of Juniper Cloud Interlink Gateways, effectively interconnecting services in hours rather than weeks while ensuring end-to-end policies remained intact. Liberty Global is committed to exploring innovative cloud connectivity options, anticipating growing demand from their substantial business customer base.
This partnership aligns with Liberty Global’s vision of delivering superior user experiences while managing the multifaceted requirements of their customers operating in diverse cloud environments.
Madalina Suceveanu, Managing Director at Liberty Global, emphasized the importance of a single, programmable network fabric across their brands, while Raj Yavatkar, CTO at Juniper, reiterated the commitment to meeting customer needs through advanced networking solutions.
