Lambda has secured $480 million in a Series D funding round, raising its total equity capital to $863 million. The round was co-led by Andra Capital and SGW, with participation from various investors including NVIDIA and ARK Invest, alongside strategic backing from Pegatron and Supermicro.

Stephen Balaban, CEO and co-founder of Lambda, stated, “AI is fundamentally restructuring our economy. Lambda is investing billions of dollars to build the software platform and infrastructure powering AI.” The funds will support the growth of the Lambda Cloud platform, Lambda Model Inference API, and Lambda Chat AI Assistant.

Lambda offers infrastructure, cloud services, and software tailored for AI model training, fine-tuning, and inferencing. After rapid expansion following its last funding announcement in April, the company achieved Type II compliance for its Soc 2 Security Standard, enhancing its public cloud security measures. It has launched the first self-serve and on-demand GPU clusters for AI model training called 1-Click Clusters.

Paul Tuan, Managing Partner of Andra Capital, expressed confidence in Lambda’s potential, saying, “We’re confident that Lambda’s solutions will be central to powering the next wave of AI-driven innovation and delivering tangible value across industries.”

JPMorgan acted as the private placement agent for this financing round.
