Huawei has introduced its AI-powered R-A-A-S (Reliability, Availability, Autonomy, and Security) framework at Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2025. This initiative aims to support financial institutions in improving their infrastructure and accelerating digital and intelligent transformation in the AI era.
During the launch event, Jason Cao, CEO of Huawei Digital Finance BU, emphasized that the financial industry has shifted focus from digital operations to AI integration. The framework’s reliability component focuses on preventing data loss through advanced storage solutions and real-time synchronization. The availability feature aims for minimal service interruptions, guaranteeing 99.999% system uptime. Autonomy seeks to eliminate human errors and ensure rapid fault detection and correction. Lastly, the security aspect provides an AI-enhanced defense system designed to quickly identify and neutralize cyber threats.
Huawei claims to offer services and product solutions that will enable financial customers to build their infrastructure in alignment with the requirements of the AI era.
Currently, Huawei has partnerships with 53 of the world's top 100 banks, extending its reach to over 3,700 financial customers across more than 80 countries.
