At the Product & Solution Launch during Mobile World Congress (MWC) Barcelona 2025, Huawei’s President He Bo unveiled the “Single SitePower” next-generation site power facility architecture and the AI data center construction guideline RASTM. These initiatives aim to assist operators in enhancing energy efficiency and transitioning into energy prosumers within the AI landscape.
He Bo noted that the evolution of data center-centric network architectures in the intelligent era is increasing the demand for digital and intelligent energy solutions. Huawei Digital Power is focused on creating new architectures and solutions to meet these challenges.
Single SitePower, described as an intelligent solution architecture for site power facilities, employs a unique three-level synergy mechanism connecting site power facilities, wireless networks, and power grids. This mechanism enables bidirectional interaction of power and information flows across different components, from generation to storage. The architecture supports full-link sensing, visualization, and management, aiming to improve site energy efficiency (SEE) and power availability (PAV) while minimizing carbon intensity energy (NCIe).
Three core elements characterize Single SitePower:
Resilient: The integration of wireless networks with site power facilities ensures a resilient approach through grid-source synergy, source-storage synergy, and storage-load synergy.
Green: Advanced technologies including high-voltage connections, optimizers, intelligent algorithms, and safety devices contribute to the development of environmentally friendly sites and enhance the monetization of green energy.
Reliable: Emphasis on the quality and safety of lithium batteries is key for ensuring dependable communication within these facilities.
The RASTM guideline addresses critical challenges faced by AI data centers, including reliability, uncertainty, rapid delivery, and high power demands. Huawei’s proposals include:
Reliable: To manage the increasing value of AI facilities, AI data centers should incorporate enhanced architectures, products, and intelligent management for reliability.
Agile: A modular design approach will allow for flexibility in meeting uncertain requirements and facilitate quicker deployment.
Sustainable: Improvements in energy supply efficiency will transition focus from the efficiency of individual components to that of integrated systems, aiming for large-scale application of super economic control operation (S-ECO) models.
He Bo stated, “We advocate the concept of Power for AI & AI for Power and will invest in technological innovation to merge digital, intelligent, and low-carbon technologies, creating resilient, green, and reliable ICT facilities to assist operators in shifting from energy consumers to prosumers.”
MWC Barcelona 2025 spans from March 3 to March 6, with Huawei set to showcase its latest products and solutions at stand 1H50 in Fira Gran Via Hall 1. The company is collaborating with global carriers and partners to promote advancements toward an intelligent world.
