At Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2025, Huawei hosted a transportation forum to discuss smart transportation and unveil new solutions. Jacky Wang, Vice President of Huawei's Smart Transportation BU, announced seven solutions across four sectors including rail, aviation, transportation operations, and sea ports.
For rail, Huawei introduced the Smart Railway Yard & Station Solution, which enhances fault recognition rates to 99.99% and improves rolling stock inspection efficiency by 30%. This solution also reduces manual workloads by half and cuts power consumption by 40%.
In the aviation sector, updates were made to the Fully Connected All-Optical Network Solution for airports, improving the system’s capabilities and enhancing bandwidth for VIP users by 20%. Additionally, operational improvements are reported to increase flight punctuality and ground support efficiency by 5%.
Huawei's Transportation Operations Coordination Center - Advanced (TOCC-A) enables rapid incident detection and management, with a reported 30% increase in handling speed. It also optimizes scheduling for new-energy buses, increasing passenger mobility efficiency by over 15%.
In the sea port category, the Intelligent Multi-Level Port Operations Management Solution streamlines digital operations and reporting, drastically reducing analysis time from weeks to minutes.
Huawei is currently engaged with more than 210 airports and airlines, as well as over 180,000 km of railways and extensive road networks across multiple urban areas.
