Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE) and Commvault have expanded their strategic partnership to tackle the increasing challenges of cyber threats and data loss.
Announced at HPE event Discover 2025, the enhanced partnership is expected to deepen technology integration and joint go-to-market, building on HPE’s collaboration with cyber resilience company Commvault across GreenLake cloud and the Commvault Cloud platform.
Commvault will integrate and offer HPE Zerto Software to support Commvault Cloud customers in managing demanding virtualized on-premises and cloud workloads.
The companies are also introducing enhanced integration between the HPE storage and data protection and Commvault Cloud portfolios. Here, Commvault Cloud SaaS is positioned as a turnkey cloud-based solution for HPE clients seeking protection of hybrid, cloud-native, and SaaS workloads, ranging across edge-to-cloud and source-to-target.
Fidelma Russo, executive VP and general manager of hybrid cloud and CTO at HPE, commented: “[The] combined innovations set a new standard for data resilience, helping customers navigate a rapidly evolving threat landscape.”
Sanjay Mirchandani, president and CEO of Commvault, added that the collaboration is for the aid of customers in keeping their “business continuous by advancing their resilience and protection of hybrid workloads.”
HPE also announced at Discovery 2025 a strengthening of its partnership with virtual machine (VM) company Veeam on the data resiliency and recovery front.
Veeam will deliver image-based backup support for HPE Morpheus VM Essentials Software, enabling VM migration and data portability from traditional hypervisor environments.
The two companies also announced a new joint data resilience framework that aims to aid enterprise customers in adopting more holistic and proactive approaches to data security and availability.
