GTT Communications has extended its tie-up with Palo Alto Networks, adding its Prisma secure access service edge (SASE) solution to its Secure Connect portfolio.

The pair have been working closely for over a decade on SASE, with GTT having used tech from Palo Alto Networks to power its platform since 2021.

The latest in the pair’s long-running partnership sees GTT pick up a suite of cloud-based offerings that provide network configuration and network security services.

The team-up sees GTT’s Secure Connect portfolio providing customers with access to virtual private connection offerings via a unified architecture, including SD-WAN, Firewall-as-a-Service (FWaaS), and Secure Web Gateway (SWG).

GTT said the revamped SASE offering caters to enterprises with distributed infrastructures that require end-to-end application security, such as healthcare, retail, and manufacturing.

The Palo Alto tie-up differs from GTT’s recent expansion with Fortinet, which provided access to both single-vendor and dual-vendor SASE solutions. Unlike the Palo Alto pairing, the SASE solution powered by Fortinet is deployed on GTT’s network.

That partnership made GTT able to offer Fortinet's security services edge (SSE) with other managed SD-WAN services from partners such as HPE Aruba, and Broadcom VMware.
