Forward Networks looks to continue where it left off in 2026 after it unveiled new AI-infused improvements to its digital twin platform.
Dubbed Forward AI, the addition sees the vendor give users the ability to build agentic workflows capable of extracting insights from network data. Set to be included in its Forward Enterprise platform from April, the addition aims to provide operators with more dynamic recommendations to improve and support network efficiency
David Erickson, CEO and co-founder of Forward Networks, said Forward AI will allow enterprise engineers to “safely reason about their networks, validate outcomes, and take action with confidence.”
The agentic product launch is one of an ever-growing number aimed at improving network efficiency, including the likes of Titan from Gluware, Articul8’s Network Topology Agent, and AI Canvas from Cisco.
The Santa Clara-based firm’s entry into the growing market then looks to augment its digital twin offering to provide evidence-backed conclusions to improve network operations. Each result generated by the platform comes accompanied by evidence and related data to provide engineers with the ability to inspect suggestions before acting on improvements.
Forward AI also makes use of the model context protocol (MCP), enabling it to connect with relevant external tools and data sitting in content repositories and development environments. The vendor said its use of MCP enables the offering to let third-party developers connect it to their specific tools and environments.
Leading the product’s development is Nikhil Handigol, the Forward co-founder who recently added the responsibility of chief AI officer to his remit.
He said Forward AI builds on learnings from Forward’s Enterprise platform by “extending the power of a mathematically accurate digital twin across operations, enabling organizations to safely adopt AI-driven workflows, reason transparently about outcomes, and preserve the safeguards required to operate critical infrastructure.”
The product launch comes just days after Forward Networks closed its FY2025 in what was a record year for the company, culminating in a 30% increase in new financial services and technology customers. The vendor also reported some triple-digit growth from clients in the media and entertainment sector.
In the past 12 months, Forward expanded rapidly, opening a new office in Japan while almost doubling its engineering presence in India.
At the production level, the vendor claimed its tech helped users complete more than two million path searches using its platform, saving customers an apparent estimation of 950 years of manual effort.
“This year’s growth, both from new customers and expanded adoption, shows how essential that capability has become,” Erickson added. “As organizations advance AI and automation in 2026, we remain focused on delivering the mathematical accuracy required to operate with confidence.”
