Fortinet joins leaders from government, business, and civil society to contribute insights into addressing today’s most pressing cybersecurity challenges.

Fortinet will participate in the World Economic Forum’s Annual Meeting taking place from January 20 to 24, 2025, in Davos-Klosters, Switzerland. As a founding member of the Forum’s Centre for Cybersecurity and a member of its Board, Fortinet aims to engage a diverse group of global leaders in discussions focused on safety and sustainability in the digital realm.

John Whittle, Chief Operating Officer at Fortinet, remarked, “Building on our longstanding and multi-faceted partnership with the World Economic Forum, we will collaborate with heads of state and various leaders to address global and regional challenges. Securing the digital world is critical to achieving these goals, and we look forward to contributing meaningfully to our collective society.”

Derek Manky, Chief Security Strategist and Global Vice President of Threat Intelligence, will be part of Fortinet's delegation and will hold a panel discussion on January 21, focusing on collaborations within the cybersecurity community to disrupt cybercrime. The session, titled “Collectively Disrupting the Economics of Cybercrime,” seeks to explore how alliances can effectively counter growing cyber threats.

The theme for this year’s World Economic Forum Annual Meeting is “Collaboration for the Intelligent Age,” addressing major geo-economic shifts and the rapid pace of technological evolution. The event will gather leaders from various sectors to develop policies and frameworks aimed at leveraging technology to tackle these pressing issues.

Fortinet continues to strengthen its initiatives against cybercrime through partnerships and active participation in global cybersecurity dialogues, including the NATO NICP and INTERPOL Expert Working Group, which are vital for fostering cooperation in tackling cyber threats.
