Extreme Networks, Inc. has introduced Extreme Platform ONE, designed for Managed Service Providers (MSPs), featuring a consumption-based billing model and poolable licensing. This launch aims to enhance management efficiency and reduce operational costs for MSPs.

The unique platform is built on a multi-tenant architecture that allows MSPs to manage licenses, performance, and service interruptions from a centralized workspace. By streamlining these processes, MSPs can improve operational excellence while maintaining oversight of network health and security.

Key benefits include more predictable billing without hefty upfront costs, enabling MSPs to dynamically allocate licenses as needed. Currently, Extreme Networks supports over 40 MSP partners who can leverage these features to differentiate themselves in the market.

Michael Stettner, Managing Director at CMS, highlighted the importance of flexibility in networking, stating, “Extreme’s approach allows us to scale on demand, reduce financial risk, and deliver high-quality services.” Similarly, Cara Parfitt, Vice President at Logically, noted that the platform has eased financial management and operational efficiency.

Nabil Bukhari, Chief Product and Technology Officer at Extreme Networks, emphasized the value of the consumption model, stating, “By removing hefty upfront costs, we enable more MSPs to adopt our model, accelerating time to market and revenue.”

Extreme Platform ONE is expected to be generally available for MSPs starting March 31, 2025.
