Ericsson announced that Moti Gyamlani will step down from his SVP role as head of Group Function Global Operations at the firm.

Gyamlani joined the company in 2019 as global procurement officer. He assumed the SVP role in 2022 as part of an Ericsson restructuring that merged its digital services and managed services to create a dedicated cloud software service unit.

The Texas, U.S.-based exec will remain at Ericsson for a transition period until January 12 2026.

“After almost seven incredible years at Ericsson, I will now pursue entrepreneurship. It’s been an exceptional learning experience to run core operating functions and drive digital and AI transformation for an iconic company like Ericsson,” said Gyamlani. “I will be following Ericsson as it continues to execute on the strategy to strengthen its product, market, and operational leadership.”

He has played an important role in simplifying and streamlining our processes and built world class functions, including in shared services and sourcing. I’m grateful for his contributions and wish him all the best in his future endeavor,” added Börje Ekholm, president and CEO, Ericsson.

Gyamlani’s departure follows August's announcement that Stella Medlicott will leave her SVP role as chief marketing and communications officer and head of corporate relations.

Ericsson’s most recent financial results gathering an adjusted gross income of $2.8 billion for the firm, running basically flat sequentially and down 5% from the same quarter last year.
