As part of the agreement, Telstra will enhance its radio access network using Ericsson's cutting-edge Open RAN technology and advanced software solutions. The transformation is expected to create one of the most advanced 5G networks, enabling Telstra to tailor connectivity that meets the specific needs of its users, which includes new performance-based service options.

This focus on network APIs is part of a global initiative known as Aduna, co-founded by Ericsson and Telstra.
