Delinea has been authorized by the Common Vulnerabilities and Exposures (CVE) Program as a CVE Numbering Authority (CNA), enhancing its role in identifying cybersecurity vulnerabilities. This designation enables the company to assign CVE IDs to newly discovered zero-day vulnerabilities within its software, streamlining the reporting process and allowing for better collaboration in the cybersecurity community.
Phil Calvin, Chief Product Officer at Delinea, noted that joining the CVE Program highlights the company's commitment to addressing emerging threats and ensuring its identity security solutions remain reliable. “As identity security becomes the new frontline in cyber defense, safeguarding identities and governing their interactions is more critical than ever,” he said.
Delinea’s identity security platform focuses on intelligent authorization, facilitating seamless governance of user interactions across both modern and traditional enterprise environments. The company joins over 420 organizations from 40 countries in this community-driven initiative aimed at strengthening cybersecurity.
The CVE Program, sponsored by the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA), works closely with various stakeholders to catalog publicly disclosed vulnerabilities. The use of CVE records assists IT professionals in ensuring clear communication when discussing vulnerabilities, ultimately leading to efficient prioritization and remediation efforts.
