Lee will oversee all facets of global security to protect Splunk employees and customers, including cloud and application security, operations, threat management, penetration testing, risk, and customer trust.
“Jason has critical experience at the most renowned tech brands operating in cloud-first, big data environments,” Splunk CEO Gary Steele said in an announcement. “He understands the importance of safeguarding our customers’ data and our intellectual property. I’m confident in his ability to lead our global security organization, continue its mission of securely building, deploying and operating our services.”
Prior to Zoom, Lee served as SVP of security operations at Salesforce and spent more than 15 years at Microsoft.
