D-Wave Quantum Inc. has successfully completed a $150 million equity offering as part of its strategy to enhance profitability and achieve positive cash flow. This offering, executed at an average price of $6.10 per share, concluded the company’s previously disclosed plan initiated earlier this month.

The capital raised will bolster D-Wave's current cash balance of approximately $320 million, with funds being allocated towards working capital and ongoing technical development. “We believe that the completion of this equity offering provides us with the capital necessary to fully execute our operating plan to sustained profitability and positive cash flow,” said Dr. Alan Baratz, CEO of D-Wave.

Dr. Baratz emphasized the company's strong business foundation and its ongoing push toward the commercialization of quantum computing technologies. He noted advancements in customer applications and new product offerings, including quantum optimization and systems sales. D-Wave positions itself as a significant player in the development of quantum AI, with ongoing projects that aim to tackle challenges unattainable by classical computing methods.

This successful fundraising effort highlights D-Wave's commitment to advancing its technological capabilities and delivering value to both customers and shareholders.
