CompTIA has introduced Careers+, a virtual platform that uses interactive modules to showcase career scenarios in various technology fields, including artificial intelligence (AI) and cybersecurity.
Developed by the organization, known for its vendor-neutral IT training and certification products, Careers+ offers users immersive simulations that demonstrate how individual talents and teamwork contribute to problem-solving in tech roles.
“With CompTIA Careers+, you can explore a variety of job roles in a way that demystifies working in tech,” said Bliss Maginnis, executive producer at CompTIA. “It's an engaging and immersive day-in-the-life learning experience that's both interactive and packed with a touch of entertainment to keep things exciting.”
In one example, situations illustrate collaboration among different professions to develop AI solutions. The scenarios include an AI engineer addressing business challenges, a cloud specialist ensuring the necessary infrastructure, and an instructional designer enhancing content effectiveness.
Maginnis emphasized that Careers+ helps mitigate challenges faced by students and job seekers regarding career information overload. “CompTIA Careers+ is free and easy to navigate. Users can tailor their experience to focus on the information that matters most to them.”
The platform also includes modules featuring specialists tackling issues like ransomware attacks and data integrity in crisis situations. Each module highlights critical skills required for success in respective roles, as noted by Henry Mann, senior director at CompTIA.
Additionally, Careers+ is compatible with CompTIA Career Explorer, designed for academic and workforce partners to aid individuals in developing career-ready skills.
CompTIA has also launched the Essentials Series of learning resources to enhance knowledge about technology-related topics and soft skills relevant to the workplace.
