Cohesity has announced the expansion of its Cyber Event Response Team (CERT) service by partnering with several leading incident response vendors, including Palo Alto Networks Unit 42, Arctic Wolf, Sophos, Fenix24, and Semperis. This initiative aims to enhance incident response and recovery processes by leveraging key data, including logs and reports, to support customers during cyber incidents.

The CERT team, established in 2021, has helped many organizations quickly recover from significant security breaches. With the newly formed partnerships, CERT will streamline incident investigations, enriching threat intelligence and data recovery capabilities.

Cohesity's CEO, Sanjay Poonen, emphasized the necessity for organizations to strengthen their cyber resilience amidst rising cyber threats. The expanded service allows for minimized disruption and financial loss during incidents, as Cohesity ensures swift detection and recovery.

Cohesity CERT offers 24/7 support, coordinating responses to various cyber threats while providing specialized knowledge and actionable recommendations to improve defenses over time.

Representatives from partner organizations have highlighted the importance of rapid access to comprehensive data. For instance, Sam Rubin from Palo Alto Networks noted that this collaboration would expedite business recovery for shared customers.

As part of its ongoing commitment, Cohesity emphasizes that its CERT service remains available to all customers as part of their existing subscription, facilitating robust partnerships that enhance overall cybersecurity posture.
