Tech Mahindra has partnered with Cisco to launch a new managed services offering designed to shore up cloud security across multicloud environments.

The latest in the pair’s storied partnership sees Tech Mahindra's managed services expertise combine with Cisco’s Multicloud Defense service to provide an extra level of security for multicloud environments.

The offering can help block inbound attacks, lateral movement, and data exfiltration using a single software-as-a-service (SaaS) control plane, effectively simplifying multicloud security for managed service users.

Tech Mahindra's cloud and cybersecurity specialists are also on hand to provide monitoring and support services for users of the offering if needed.

“Multicloud Defense is designed to deliver best-in-class security for today's multicloud world. By partnering with Tech Mahindra, we are extending the reach of our solution through their proven expertise in managed services," Shannon Leininger, VP of global partner sales at Cisco, explained in a statement. “This partnership will empower customers to strengthen their cybersecurity posture amid today's complex security landscape.”

Cisco has long enjoyed working with Tech Mahindra, with the pair offering end-to-end IT infrastructure services, including econfigurable optical add-drop multiplexer (ROADM) and secure access service edge (SASE)-based offerings.

The firms also jointly offer a routed optical networking (RON)-based automation tool designed to converge services over an IP Infrastructure.

This latest offering also expands the Indian IT giant’s security service portfolio, which already counts customers across the Americas, Europe, and Asia-Pacific.
