Cisco convened industry leaders and experts at the Engage Greater Bay Area 2025 event to address technological advancements in AI.

The theme “Go Beyond” highlights opportunities for innovation as companies leverage AI capabilities within data centers. In May 2023, Cisco established its dedicated Greater Bay Area team aimed at aiding businesses in maximizing growth and digital resilience.

Attendees included senior officials such as Professor Sun Dong from the HKSAR Government and Cisco executives who discussed strategies for integrating AI within operational frameworks.

Research presented at the event indicates that a majority of CEOs recognize the potential of AI but express concern over knowledge gaps that may hinder decision-making and competitiveness. Despite the enthusiasm for implementing AI, challenges such as skills shortages and infrastructure limitations remain significant obstacles.

Cisco is actively responding to these challenges through partnerships and innovative solutions, including the launch of its AI Skills Journey program which updates certifications to reflect necessary skills in AI and cybersecurity. Additionally, Cisco introduced new products aimed at enhancing AI capabilities within enterprises.
