Boldyn Networks partnered with Italian hardware maker Apeiroon on a private 5G partnership.

The collaboration will see Boldyn’s private 5G service integrate with Apeiroon 5G modules for deployments across Europe, with a focus on defense, industrial, and critical infrastructure sectors.

Apeiroon’s Roadwave kit was described as a portable and rugged modular solution, specifically designed for vehicles, aircraft, tactical units, and remote infrastructure. With Boldyn’s 5G integration, the firms are working on reliable communication for mobile command centres, emergency response fleets, and field-deployed units.

The firms will also collaborate on country-specific customization, IoT integration, and smart city use cases.

The Apeiroon partnership follows Boldyn Networks' recent Nokia tie-up, which saw a private 5G network set up to support tests of next-generation mining equipment in Finland.

Boldyn Networks appointed Andrew Conway as its CTO for Europe in July, in a newly-created role overseeing the British firm's European expansion.
