The Cisco product launch comes nearly a year after it initially announced plans to integrate with the hyperscaler's AWS Cloud WAN platform.

The single management interface can automate “configuration, provisioning and end-to-end orchestration of the enterprise slicing service order.”

The work will see SoftBank using Nvidia’s latest Grace Hopper chip to power its latest data centers.

The Cal Poly network can now support T-Mobile US customers, providing more robust and seamless coverage within areas around the campus.

"At the end of the day the making of a problem and the solution are very similar," Dell Technologies' Gil Shneorson said.

"We will develop capability and compatibility with other [open radio access] networks on a case-by-case basis," Ericsson's Brian Arendse said.

"A system integrator cannot run and manage things that are on licensed spectrum," Verizon executive Sowmyanarayan Sampath explained.

The company said its open radio access network system was near software feature parity with already deployed network systems.

Ericsson is still in investment mode with its enterprise efforts.

The new offering combines SD-WAN and SD-branch services using Fortinet’s secure firewall and networking equipment.

The move continues Cisco’s ongoing push to diversify its supply chain.

The trade group states the data is maintained in the European Union but is accessible to its vendor partner in Hong Kong.

T-Mobile US' test was run on its commercial 5G standalone network, while AT&T's was conducted in a lab environment.

Palmer’s history at Verizon dates back to its founding in late 2000, having previously served in leadership roles at Bell Atlantic.

The funding round was led by its largest shareholder Siris, “along with investment from two highly strategic ecosystem partners,” the vendor added.

The latest breach was discovered in late March and impacted 836 customers.
