Vasona SmartAIR®
The Vasona SmartAIR® is an edge compute application platform that manages RAN resource contention and alleviates the effects of congestion at an individual cell level to deliver better services. Deployed as a software or appliance solution, it was built for 3G and 4G networks and solves mobile network traffic challenges today. It also prepares the network for the next evolution, including NFV, IoT and 5G. SmartAIR solves the challenges created by network congestion so operators do not have to chase capacity upgrades to meet ever-increasing customer demands. It is transparent and agnostic to mobile network infrastructure. Vasona’s SmartVISION® analytics suite is the user interface and provides insights about congestion location and cause, both for real-time management and effective long-term planning.
Vasona SmartAIR Edge Services Platform
Vasona SmartAIR Edge Services Platform (SmartAIR ESP) extends globally-deployed Vasona SmartAIR capabilities to more network applications and infrastructure environments. The software-based architecture enables MEC deployments and virtualizes SmartAIR functionality for network and business agility in support of radio access network (RAN) transformation initiatives. SmartAIR ESP exposes APIs that let third-party application developers access RAN characteristics and traffic functions, such as details about real-time cell congestion conditions for MEC deployments that span IoT, streaming video and more.
