Marist College and IBM Joint Studies are joining in on research and development of the openflow protocol in hopes of progressing the adaptivness of the protocol in modern networks. Marist and IBM are in the development phase of an openflow research and testing lab at Marist College in New York. The lab will allow for testing, research and development of the Openflow protocol.
The goal of the research OpenFlow facility in Marist College’s Enterprise Computing Research Lab is to allow for:
- Development of Openflow capable SDN applications
- Research in the areas of scalability, reliablity, managability
- Testing and Researching OpenFlow Switches and Devices of different vendors
- Allow students to work with a leading edge technology
