IP Infusion was founded in 1999 by Kunihiro Ishiguro and Yoshinari Yoshikawa as a commercial-grade, hardware-independent network software for IPv4 and IPv6. The vision for IP Infusion comes from Ishiguro’s background as the co-founder and developer of open source Zebra and his experience running the first IPv6 network in Tokyo in 1995. IP Infusion was acquired by ACCESS in 2006, and since then has grown to have support and development operations on three continents, serving more than 250 customers.
IP Infusion is at the forefront of the disaggregated network solutions available to network equipment manufacturers who need to innovate rapidly to accommodate billions of new mobile users, the tsunami of Big Data, and the explosive growth in Cloud services. The disaggregated networking model allows network operators to build networks with diverse, standards-based hardware and software. IP Infusion offers network operating systems for both physical and virtual networks to carriers, service providers and enterprises to achieve the disaggregated networking model. With the OcNOS™ and VirNOS™ network operating systems, both powered by ZebOS®, IP Infusion offers a single, unified physical and virtual software solution to deploy new services quickly at reduced cost and with greater flexibility.
