As the cost and complexity of managing large networks spiraled out of control, co-founders Jeff Gray and Olivier Huynh Van recognized an urgent need for agility, simplicity, and speed to deliver intelligence to the network. They founded Gluware (formerly Glue Networks) in 2007 and bootstrapped the company while developing the first intelligent automation engine and suite of networking applications for Software-Defined Wide Area Networks (SD-WANs). Gluware shipped its first production system in 2011 and today its Gluware® intelligent cloud-based or on-prem network automation solutions are sold direct and through the largest networking vendors and distributors in the world.
Gluware has expanded its solutions to automate the configuration and management of complex LAN, WAN, and Data Center multi-vendor deployments, accelerating time to value while dramatically increasing the ability to respond to change. In addition to the SD-WAN offering, Gluware has added solutions including Configuration Drift and Audit, OS Update, Routing, LAN Switching, and more. Gluware has also announced a partnership with VMware to extend orchestration from the physical into the virtual network. With the evolution of packaged solutions, Gluware is now able to deliver specific business value to customers with a portfolio of automation solutions that are easy to use and easy to consume.
Gluware was named a Gartner Cool Vendor for Communications Service Provider Infrastructure in April 2013. Gluware has raised over $37M from private investors to scale the business and accelerate growth.
