These metrics are then used to compute an optimized Network route based on predefined rules. Datapath.io automates the process of Network route optimization for Network engineers and DevOps personnel. Datapath.io makes it possible to make proactive changes to network routes in real time. It over rides the traditional BGP traffic routes in favor of more optimized network paths with better performance metrics.
Datapath.io is uniquely suited to service providers offering transactional or time sensitive online services like e-commerce shops, Adtech, VOIP and online streaming. Latency optimization is as easy as defining a rule in the customer backend: e.g. deliver traffic to Spain at lower than 10ms latency. Datapath.io then automatically probes all network routes to Spain for the ones with latency lower then 10ms and uses those to route network traffic.
Once a latency requirement has been defined as a rule Datapath.io then analyzes the transit costs of each path through the network within that specific latency requirement and helps you intelligently switch to the paths with the lowest transit cost.
Datapath.io reduces jitter and packet loss to negligible levels. It actively probes all network prefixes for availability and packet loss and allows you to intelligently select best routes for large data transfers.
The internet is plagued by network congestion in network nodes. Datapath.io tracks network outages and congestion in all prefixes and actively avoids those network paths while routing traffic through the internet.
Datapath.io also allows Net DevOps to optimize bandwidth by creating rules to pick and choose network routes based on their bandwidth requirements.
