Comptel´s journey dates back to the early days of digitalisation of communications and business. The company was founded in 1986, and in already in 1991 we collected and handled the mobile usage data from the first GSM call ever made.

Currently, Comptel operates globally in the developing Operations Support Systems (OSS) market for telecommunications and has offices in 16 locations. Comptel acquired EDB Telecom in 2005 and Axiom Systems in 2008. Comptel employs currently about 600 people. Major hubs are in Helsinki, Kuala Lumpur in Malaysia and Reading, UK. Comptel’s OSS product portfolio consists of mediation, charging, policy control, fulfilment and provisioning and activation
