Join Hewlett Packard Enterprise and Intel along with TIM, Eurecom, Politecnico di Torino, and Wind River as they demo their 5G-Ready Telco Edge proof of concept which showcases a radio aware video optimization application and eNB (and in the future a 5G gNB) co-located at the Edge running on an HPE Edgeline 4000 server and Intel architecture. The video client on the User Equipment (UE) communicates with a video application on the Mobile Edge Computing (MEC) server to deliver the best quality video stream to the end user by adjusting to user’s radio conditions. The system demonstrates Network Slicing and shows how mobile network operators can support Service Agility at the Edge. During this session you’ll also hear directly from TIM who will provide the operator’s perspective on this solution.
