Software Defined Networking (SDN) is a technology that is redefining the networking industry with a tectonic shift of value from hardware to software. Every organization that operates on a network connection is going to benefit from this technology. SDN suits India’s strengths and talent pool that is serving customers worldwide.
In an effort to create an active and innovative SDN community, Open Networking Foundation (ONF) in association with Criterion Network Labs (CNLabs) and IACC is organizing a symposium on ‘Open SDN Technology’, the first such symposium in India. The symposium will include SDN showcase stalls from dozen SDN vendors.
This is a great opportunity to meet visionaries and leaders in the field and explore the possibilities of SDN. Keynote speakers include Dan Pitt, Executive Director, Open Networking Foundation and Neela Jacques, OpenDayLight Executive Director, Linux Foundation. The symposium seeks to bring together companies based in India already in the SDN domain, multi-national SDN vendors with facilities in India, and more importantly network operators, IT Ops, software developers and the academic community.
The Symposium will focus on:
• Building an SDN community in India, centered on software developers in Bangalore.
• Understand requirements of network operators (Telcos, Enterprises, Cloud & DC operators) and how SDN can help them.
• Bring new members into ONF to help accelerate the adoption of open SDN to global customers.
Who would benefit from the symposium:
Service Providers, Network Operations Teams, Network Architects, Network Engineers, Software Developers and Research Community.
SDN is emerging network architecture that holds tremendous potential. It is an excellent chance to hear directly from key thought leaders and vendors in the domain and catch the SDN solution demos as part of SDN showcase. Do not miss it!
